Every day we work with  athletes who are perfecting their running mechanics and setting personal bests. There is no better place to learn the proper mechanics of a sprint stride. Just ask Derrick Atkins, owner of a 9.91 100m dash who has done all of his training through Athletic Republic equipment and protocols since his freshman year in college.
Ground based training can only improve you so far. Only true over speed training can occur on our Super Treadmill. Long jumper? Our patented PlyoPress is what a squat rack dreams of being. Squats are a strength exercise that provides muscle hypertrophy. Our PlyoPress is used to create an explosive jumping motion while providing a weighted resistance. Why is this important? Strength is how much you can move. Power is how fast you can move a certain weight. We train for power because in most athletic motions, especially those in track, an explosive motion for distance is desired.
Average improvements of an 8 week long training program:
• 2 tenths of a second off 40 yard dash
• 33% improvement in foot speed
• 50% improvement in rate of recovery
• 4” increase in vertical jump – increased explosive power
• 20 % greater leg strength
• 4 mph increase in throwing velocity
